Is there trouble in paradise for Kelly Clarkson and her fiance, Brandon Blackstock? Maybe, maybe not, depending on how you look at it.
The American Idol revealed that her and Blackstock are simply too busy to make an extravagant wedding happen, saying they plan to elope instead, reports People & GossipingPens.com
"I have a Christmas record coming out. I'm doing a bunch of stuff with State Farm right now (the singer is teaming up with the insurance company to educate kids about safe driving). We have two kids (Seth & Savannah, Blackstock's children from his former marriage to Melissa Blackstock) who just started school. We're going to all these football games and soccer games and volleyball games and Brandon's got one of the biggest artists (Blake Shelton) in country music. He's flying everywhere."
Of course, Clarkson and her music-manager hubby-to-be already went through the trouble of sending out save-the-date's, and just announced 2 weeks ago that her Maid of Honor would be her best friend from high-school and current make-up artist, Ashley Donovan. But now there's no date to be saved, and no Maid of Honor necessary. "It's just going to be me and Brandon and his two kids and the minister," says Clarkson.
Sounds like a whole bunch of excuses to us! You're too busy to have a proper wedding and just figured this out? We can't say we're surprised since Kelly, herself, said she was "so over" the whole idea of wedding planning. Or maybe it was all the heat she was getting after admitting to being a home-wrecker. Either way, we don't think this couple will make it to the alter at all.
Oh well. If they do break-up (and they will), you know her albums will be AMAZING. We're ready for "Since U Been Gone, Part 2."
